Our history

Our business originally started life in much the same way as did the great majority of internet companies founded in the late '90s - in a friend's living room, driven by the firm belief that the web would transform the way business would operate in the years to come.

After a lot of running around trying to convince a number of companies to take the plunge online, the first Alert team (made up of a grand total of three people) was commissioned to develop websites for Corinthia Hotels International and Malta International Airport.

The result was two award-winning websites that got the new company lots of attention. The phone started ringing and web development projects started rolling in. Alert expanded to five people and moved to a shared office in Valletta. However it did not take long for the company to run out of space, and in fact just six months later we had grown to ten people and had to move again, this time to an apartment in Pieta.

By the end of 1999 it was clear that the time had come to invest in a more permanent location. So, in 2000, the company took the plunge and invested in an office block in St Venera. This was our home for ten years, until we moved into a custom- built office block in late 2013.

Our enthusiasm and drive for growth also remains unchanged. Over the years the company has diversified and increased the range of services it offers clients. We now operate our own state-of-the-art Data Centre and have developed a PCI accredited payment gateway. We have opened offices in the United Arab Emirates and in Libya and we service a growing number of clients from these countries.

As part of a growth strategy, we integrated with Deloitte Malta early in 2016 and have rebranded as Deloitte Digital. Our plans for the future? Bookmark our site and keep up to date with what we're up to.
